Perhaps if we'd had this calculator in high school we would have done much better in trigonometry. The Texas Instruments TI-83 is an ideal unit for any math student, combining powerful features for graphing and statistical analysis.

The TI-83 includes function, parametric and polar, and sequence plot modes. You can store, graph, and analyze up to 10 functions, 6 parametric and polar functions, and 3 sequence functions. The TI-83's Draw operations allow you to annotate graphs. Along with the advanced math and science features, the TI-83 also includes such financial functions as cash flow, amortization, and time value of money.

The LCD screen displays 16 characters over 8 lines. Though the TI-83's keyboard layout might seem daunting to those who've never laid eyes on a graphic calculator before, the helpful, if intimidatingly thick, manual will get you up and running quickly.

The included input-output cable lets you link the TI-83 with another TI-83 or a TI-82 for data sharing, and the optional TI-Graph Link software lets you transfer files to a PC.

Good Calculator,July 13, 2008
I knew this calculator and I have nothing to say about it. I bought it, they sent it to me, etc. What I have to say, is that they were very attentive to the whole process. I received the calculator on time and that was very important to me.

TI-84 Plus Silver is GREAT,January 18, 2008
Purchased during the holidays for my high school sopohomore daughter for calc classes to replace a ten-plus-year-old TI-82. She loves it and all it does. Also recommend the "TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator for Dummies" book I purchased along with the calculator so I could understand how it works and make use of it, too.

Great Product!
During my college calculus class, I found this calculator extremely beneficial. It is fast, and it contains almost every program or feature you will ever need. Not only in my calculus class, but in chemistry, trigonometry, and many others. I would highly recommend this!

Great device, comes with lots of programs the TI-83 doesn't ... but now that I'm using it I would have rather forked out a few more dollars to get more computing power the TI-89 offers. For example ... The TI-84 can't compute factorials above 90 or so... Hope this helps...”

“Calculator is much bigger than expected. It is large compared to other similar calculators. The batteries ran out after only one month of use. The keyboard layout is not logical and it is difficult to find the keys required for non routine calculations.

I ordered Ti 84 Plus Graphing Calculator because it was required for my son's Algebra class. If I had a choice I would have purchased another brand or model calculator.”
